CFP Addendum

Earlier this month I brought a few Call for Proposals to your attention; here’s a few minor notes related to that topic.

I mentioned MoodleMoot NZ; the Call for Proposals deadline has been extended to “the end of July“. I would assume that means July 31, but make of it as you will.

A conference that was absent from the post is the Linux.Conf.AU 2017. The conference, from 16 to 20 January 2017 will be in

Hobart, Tasmania, which was where OSDC15 was held. I enjoyed attending that conference and I have all the faith that LCA2017 will be fun and engaging. The theme of the conference is The Future of Open Source and I’m preparing my own proposal based on said theme. I encourage you to submit as well. Proposals can be presentations (45 minutes), tutorials (100 minutes) or half day Miniconfs.

Incidentally, I think Open Source Education would make an excellent miniconf, and I’d love to collaborate with like-minded people to get that off the ground. Please send me a Tweet!

The CFP closes on Friday, August 5.
